Shmyhal at Ramstein calls for urgent purchase of US weapons for Ukraine, especially Patriot systems and missiles
At the 29th meeting of the Contact Group on Ukraine's Defense (in the Ramstein format), Ukrainian Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal called on partners to urgently purchase U.S. weapons for Ukraine, especially Patriot systems and PAC-3 missiles.
"Today I want to take this opportunity to ask you, our partners and allies, for further support. My first request concerns the urgent purchase of American weapons for Ukraine. Air defense, especially Patriot and PAC-3 missiles, together with ammunition, are extremely important for us," he said at the Rammstein meeting.
The minister stressed that the Contact Group on Ukraine's Defence remains a key platform for coordinating international military assistance to Ukraine, and Russian terror continues, so it is necessary to strengthen Ukraine's air defence.
"I ask the United States to make these weapons available for purchase, and our European partners to provide all the necessary funding for their purchase," the defense minister urged.
