Additional forces allocated to Pokrovsk direction to destroy enemy sabotage groups - spokesman for AFU General Staff
Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrsky has allocated additional forces and resources to destroy enemy sabotage groups that are penetrating the defense line in Pokrovsk direction, the spokesman for the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Andriy Kovaliov told the Interfax-Ukraine agency.
"By decision of the commander-in-chief, additional forces and resources have been allocated for the purpose of identifying and destroying enemy sabotage groups that penetrate behind the defensive line," Kovaliov said.
He noted that the enemy is using its numerical advantage and, losing large numbers of personnel, is trying to penetrate in small groups through the first line of our positions.
He reported that in Pokrovsk direction the enemy made 35 attempts to push back Ukrainian units, and the Defense Forces eliminated 64 occupiers.
"In Pokrovsk direction, the enemy has made 35 attempts to push back our units. The greatest activity is observed in the areas of the settlements of Poltavka, Popiv Yar, Mayak, Dorozhne, Nikanorivka, Kucheriv Yar, Nove Shakhove, Novo-Ekonomichne, Suhetske, Rodynske, Promin, Udachne, Lysivka, Zvereve, Orikhove, Dachne. Three combat clashes are still ongoing," Kovaliov said.
According to preliminary estimates, in this direction our soldiers eliminated 64 and wounded 38 occupiers, destroyed one vehicle, 21 UAVs, one communication antenna and one motorcycle. They also damaged one gun and two motorcycles of the invaders.
