Russian soldier shoots civilian in Pokrovsk axis – prosecutor's office

A Russian soldier shot a civilian in Pokrovsk direction; an investigation into the war crime has been launched, the Prosecutor General’s Office (PGO) reported.
"One of the Telegram channels published a video in which a serviceman of the Russian Armed Forces with a white armband opened aimed fire at a civilian in Rodinsky district of Pokrovsk area. He then approached the victim, who was lying on the road, and, after examining her, fled the scene of the crime," the Prosecutor General's Office said on the Telegram channel on Monday.
It is reported that information on the fact of committing a war crime that resulted in the death of a person (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) has been entered into the Unified Register of Pretrial Investigations. Under the procedural guidance of Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office, investigators of the Main Directorate of the Security Service of Ukraine in Donetsk and Luhansk regions are conducting a pretrial investigation.
It is noted that urgent investigative (search) actions are being carried out aimed at establishing all the circumstances of the incident and the persons from among the Russian military personnel involved in the commission of the crime.
