Starmer: Achieving peace in Ukraine must be done correctly, it is in everyone's interests

UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer says Russia's war against Ukraine, which has been going on for more than three years, must end but "we must get it right" to ensure a "lasting, fair and just peace".
Starmer said that this war in Ukraine has been going on for a very long time, more than three years.
“It hugely impacted the Ukrainians, who suffered hugely, but it also impacted Europe, it impacted every single family and community in United Kingdom, that is why everybody wants it to end, not least the Ukrainians,” he said in a video on his X social media page on Monday.
“But we got to get this right. We got to make sure there is peace that is lasting peace, that it is fair and it is just. That’s why I am travelling to Washington with other European leaders to discuss this face-to-face with President Trump and President Zelenskyy because it’s in everyone’s interests,” Starmer stressed.
“It’s in the UK’s interests to get this right,” he added.
