A member of parliament, leader of the European Solidarity party, the fifth President of Ukraine (2014-2019) Petro Poroshenko met with Keith Kellogg, Special Representative of the President of the United States for Ukraine, who is currently in Kyiv.
I am glad to meet with Keith Kellogg, US Special Representative for Ukraine. No one wants peace more than we do in Ukraine. However, not under any conditions. Your mission is very difficult, but also extremely important. At stake are peace, security and stability not only in Ukraine, but also in Europe and the world," Poroshenko wrote on his Facebook page.
During the conversation, the parties discussed ways to achieve peace, security guarantees and the role of the international community in deterring Russian aggression.
The meeting took place against the backdrop of intensified diplomatic contacts between Ukraine and the United States, particularly in the context of new initiatives to end the war and strengthen defence cooperation.
