Military receives drones in record 5 days through DOT-Chain Defence – DPA

The military received drones through DOT-Chain Defence in record time: from the application to delivery to the front, five days passed, the press service of the Defense Procurement Agency (DPA) has said.
"Thanks to the DOT-Chain Defence IT system, the military received a batch of FPV drones 5 days from the moment of their order. This is a record figure that proves the effectiveness of the new supply system," the DPA website said in a statement on Monday.
"The battlefield changes every day - today drones with one frequency are needed, tomorrow with another. Therefore, it is critically important that the equipment remains relevant when it reaches the front. DOT-Chain Defence gives units the opportunity to independently choose the drones they need and receive them in the shortest possible time. This ensures that on the front line they have exactly the tool that corresponds to the situation here and now," DPA Director Arsen Zhumadilov said.
It is reported that currently the average delivery time of drones through the IT system is constantly decreasing and is already 10 days - this is more than five times faster than under the standard procurement procedure. DOT-Chain Defence breaks the old logic of provision and puts those who fight on the front line at the center of the process.
The DOT-Chain Defence IT system was developed by the State Logistics Operator and is used by the Defense Procurement Agency for operational and targeted provision of weapons to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. It also works as a marketplace: the military independently choose the types and number of drones they need at the expense of DPA. .
Currently, the IT system is operating in pilot mode. 12 brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which are fighting in the Kherson, Zaporizhia, Donetsk and Kharkiv directions, are involved in its testing in real combat conditions.
After the testing is completed, DOT-Chain Defence will be scaled to other units of the Armed Forces and will expand the list of assets available for order - electronic warfare/electronic warfare systems, nuclear weapons and other types of unmanned aerial vehicles, as well as downloads for them.
This project was implemented by the Defense Procurement Agency together with the State Logistics Operator, the Office of Effective Regulation BRDO with the support of the German Ministry of Defense.
