There are 56 relocated schools operating in Ukraine, four of which are in Donetsk region, Minister of Education and Science Oksen Lisovy has said.

"Today, four relocated schools from Donetsk region are opening their doors to children in new cities. In total, 56 relocated schools throughout the country - this means that children remain in their school community. More than 338 thousand children who cannot start the school year in Ukraine today continue to receive education remotely in Ukrainian schools," Lisovy wrote on Facebook.

He also said that today more than 178,000 young people have chosen education in Ukrainian higher education institutions (excluding those entering the military and other specialized institutions).

"This is an important signal of trust in our system even in times of war. We see that many people are choosing areas that are critically needed for the reconstruction and development of the country, namely: medicine, engineering, construction. The state continues to support students: more than 50% of them will receive financial assistance," the minister wrote.

In addition, according to him, more than 66,000 applications have already been submitted for admission to vocational schools and more than 248,000 - to institutions of professional pre-higher education.

"The admission campaign will continue until October. This shows that professional and vocational colleges are becoming more attractive to young people, because they provide real opportunities to quickly master a profession that is needed for the economy and reconstruction of the country," he added.
