More than 94% of Ukrainian manufacturers ready to export - survey by Ukrainian Gunsmiths Council

According to a survey by the Ukrainian Gunsmiths Council, 94.4% of manufacturers are striving to open export markets.

The Ukrainian Gunsmiths Council reported this following the third International Forum of Defence Industries (DFNC3) in Kyiv.

Council Executive Director Ihor Fedirko noted that DFNC3 "has become the point where the Ukrainian defense industry formalizes a new export policy."

"We are open to partnerships, joint projects, and cooperation—and we are proving that Ukrainian manufacturers are capable of operating to the highest standards of safety, quality, and control," he said.

As the organizers of the International Defense Industries Forum note, DFNC3 marked the "de facto start of a new, controlled phase of Ukrainian arms exports."

The event brought together over 1,500 participants from 20 countries, including representatives of 850 Ukrainian and foreign companies, government agencies, diplomatic missions, and defense departments. The forum was organized by the Ministry of Defense, the President’s Office, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, together with the Ukrainian Gunsmiths Council.

Ukrainian Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal emphasized that "over the years, Ukraine has proven its ability to withstand attacks and fight back. But we clearly understand that strength lies in partnership."

As the Ukrainian Gunsmiths Council explained, exports help maintain momentum, reduce the cost of serial production, and provide even more weapons for the Ukrainian Armed Forces. It is noted that "not a single piece of equipment leaves the country without full control—with a mandatory end-user certificate, a re-export ban, and the right to inspection."

"We are hearing clear signals from our allies: leaders and experts are discussing the development of joint measures to counter drones and cyber threats, as well as accelerating the delivery of counter-UAV and electronic warfare systems. Ukraine, with its practical experience countering such threats throughout the war, can and should be instrumental in building European resilience," the forum's co-organizers noted.
