Fedorov calls on Ukrainians to help block spam numbers

First Deputy Prime Minister - Minister for Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov calls on Ukrainians to help block spam numbers.

"The government recently adopted a resolution that allows operators to block spam numbers. The relevant rules came into force on October 2 - and thousands of spam numbers have already been blocked," Fedorov wrote on the Telegram channel.

He explained that spam calls are advertising calls when a company calls without the user's prior consent and advertises a product or service.

The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that now every Ukrainian can contact their operator and help block the number from which the call was made: Vodafone - in the application or by calling: 111 or 0 800 400 111 in Ukraine, +38 050 400 111 in roaming; Kyivstar - in the application or by calling: 466 or 0 800 300 466 in Ukraine, *105*466# in roaming; LifeCell - in the application or by calling: 5433 or 0 800 20 5433 in Ukraine, +38 063 5433 111 in roaming.

He also said that you can either call the government's "hotline" (1545) or submit a request on the National Commission for the Regulation of Electronic Communications' website.

"Leave requests and help operators fight spammers," Fedorov wrote.

As reported, in June, the Cabinet of Ministers, at the initiative of the Ministry of Digital Transformation, provided operators with tools to combat spam calls and intrusive advertising.
