Russia attacks energy workers during repairs at Chernihiv facility
Russia has attacked energy workers during emergency restoration work at an energy facility in Chernihiv region, the regional energy company Chernihivoblenergo said on Telegram on Tuesday.
"Fortunately, the personnel were not injured - the energy workers managed to take shelter, but their car was significantly damaged," the company said.
As the regional energy authority recalled, on October 27, the enemy carried out another attack on the power system of the Chernihiv region, as a result of which one of the important power supply facilities in Koriukivka district of the region was damaged. Tens of thousands of consumers were left without electricity.
The restoration of the energy facility began on the same day, but the Russians resorted to their usual practice - at first the work had to be postponed until the evening, because a reconnaissance drone flew over the facility for a long time. When the security situation more or less normalized and work began, the Russians launched several more drones, already combat ones, to the same place.
"In such conditions, our power engineers have had to work almost every day lately. The terrorists do not give them the opportunity to approach the damaged power supply facilities, inflict repeated strikes simply during emergency and restoration work, and hunt for their equipment," the company said. .
The price of electricity is rising, and we are not talking about the monetary equivalent, Chernihivoblenergo added.
