14 mln applications for UAH 1,000 winter support submitted, second payment wave starts Monday
Some 14 million applications have already been submitted by Ukrainians to receive UAH 1,000 as part of the Winter Support program, Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko has said.
"Already 14 million Ukrainians have submitted applications to receive UAH 1,000 as part of the Winter Support program," Svyrydenko said on Telegram on Monday morning.
In particular, according to her, the following applications were submitted: 11.4 million were submitted through Diia, of which 2.9 million were applications for children; more than 700,000 were submitted independently through Ukrposhta; for 1.8 million people on the social list, funds will be credited automatically.
"Today, the second wave of payments of UAH 1,000 in winter support will begin - for those who applied on the second day of accepting applications," the Prime Minister said.
She added that 3.5 million people have already received funds.
"We record that people have already spent UAH 473 million. The largest amount is transferred to pay for utilities (80%), books, pharmacies and donations to the Defense Forces are also in the top of expenses," the message says.
In addition, she noted that those who applied through Ukrposhta will begin receiving funds from St. Nicholas Day on December 6.
