Russia provides no evidence of Ukraine's alleged attack on Putin's residence because there was no attack – FM Sybiha

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha hasresponded to statements by the governments of the United Arab Emirates, India, and Pakistan expressing concern about "an attack that never happened," noting that over the past day, Russia has not provided any convincing evidence of its accusations against Ukraine of an alleged "attack on Putin’s residence."

"Almost a day has passed, and Russia still has not provided any convincing evidence of its accusations against Ukraine of an alleged ‘attack on Putin’s residence.’ And it will not. Because there is no such evidence. There was no attack. We were disappointed and concerned by the statements of the Emirates, India, and Pakistan, in which they expressed concern about an attack that never happened. This is even more surprising, considering that all three states did not issue any official statements when on September 7, 2025, a real Russian missile hit a real Ukrainian government building," Sybiha said on X.

The head of the foreign ministry noted that Russia "has a long history of false statements."

"Russia has a long history of false claims - this is their signature tactic. For example, in early 2022, Russia stated that it would not attack Ukraine. They also often accuse others of what they themselves plan to do. Their words should never be taken at face value. Such reactions to Russia’s baseless manipulative claims only play into the hands of Russian propaganda and encourage Moscow to commit new atrocities and lies," the minister stressed.

Sybiha called on all states to act responsibly and refrain from responding to unverified claims, as this undermines "the constructive peace process that has been moving forward recently."
