Zelenskyy meets with SBU SOC 'A' head Khmara, says special forces experience to be scaled up
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has met with the head of the Special Operations Center (SOC) "A" of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) Yevhen Khmara.
"We will scale up the experience of Ukrainian special forces and SOC "A" of the SBU. Today, we also discussed with Yevgen other opportunities for the systemic development of the Security Service of Ukraine and special operations that we are currently preparing," Zelenskyy wrote in Telegram on Monday following the meeting.
He noted the extremely significant combat work of Ukrainian special forces soldiers throughout all the years of the full-scale war. "Ukraine is achieving the necessary results in its defense, and all our soldiers who ensure this deserve the greatest respect and gratitude," Zelenskyy said.
As reported, Zelenskyy suggested that the head of the Security Service of Ukraine, Vasyl Malyuk, focus on combat work within the structure of the special service and offered him a corresponding position, and also discussed with him the candidates for the new head of the agency.
"I thanked him for his combat work and suggested focusing on this type of work. There should be more Ukrainian asymmetric operations against the occupier and the Russian state, more of our strong results in destroying the enemy. Vasyl Vasylovich knows how to do this best and will continue to do this in the SBU system. I instructed Vasyl Malyuk to make the direction of our asymmetric operations the strongest in the world," the president wrote following the meeting.
