The Ukrainian Red Cross Society (URCS) is providing aid to those affected by a Russian missile strike in Zolotonosha.

"Teams from the Cherkasy Regional and Zolotonosha City-District organizations of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society are delivering assistance at the site of yet another attack on the Cherkasy region," the URCS announced on Facebook on Saturday.

On the ground, mobile heating stations operated by the URCS are available, offering victims and rescue workers a place to warm up, rest, drink hot beverages, and recharge their mobile phones. Specialists from the Ukrainian Red Cross Society are also providing initial psychological support to those impacted.

In addition, volunteers are distributing humanitarian supplies to residents, including plastic sheeting, tarpaulins, OSB boards, beams, and planks, for the rapid repair and covering of damaged structures.

The volunteers are working in coordination with the Cherkasy Regional Military Administration, the Main Departments of Ukraine's State Emergency Service, and the National Police in Cherkasy region.

According to Ukraine's State Emergency Service, on the afternoon of January 3, Russian forces launched a missile strike on Zolotonosha. Preliminary reports indicate that residential infrastructure and a private enterprise were damaged by debris and the blast wave. Five people were injured.
