The probability of signing the Prosperity Agreement (Prosperity Plan), which envisages directing hundreds of billions of dollars to the post-war reconstruction of Ukraine, in Davos during the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF) is still present, an informed source told Interfax-Ukraine.

"It is still possible," the agency’s source said.

According to the source, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy could travel to the forum if the need arises, even though his participation had been announced from the outset.

Earlier, the head of state said he had stayed home due to another massive Russian attack and a worsening energy situation.

"If the documents are ready, then we will have a meeting and there will be a trip. If there are energy packages, or even a meeting and decisions on additional air defense, I will certainly go. But for now, I have an urgent situation in Ukraine, and it is very important for me to coordinate all services," Zelenskyy told journalists on Tuesday. He added that his team in Davos had signaled that a document on Ukraine’s recovery was nearly complete.

On the same day, Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Taras Kachka said during a discussion organized by the Pinchuk Foundation’s at the Ukrainian House on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos that the agreement had been approved at the technical level the day before and could be signed "any day," he said.

At the same time, Kachka declined to give a more specific timeline for signing the agreement, saying it could depend on work on security issues, but he expressed hope that it could happen fairly soon.

He also told the Interfax-Ukraine news agency that the document in question is a trilateral agreement.
