Poroshenko in parliament criticizes allocation of UAH 5 bln for 'thousand for everyone' – front needs these funds
The leader of the European Solidarity party, MP of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko during his speech in the Verkhovna Rada criticized the allocation of UAH 5 billion for the distribution of "a thousand to everyone" and noted that the situation at the front is very difficult, and funds should be given to the brigades to provide them with drones and electronic warfare equipment.
"This morning I've returned from the front. Pokrovsk is half-encircled, Kurakhove has been surrendered, and the situation is very difficult in the Kursk direction. Kupiansk, Kreminna, Lyman, Chasiv Yar. And our units have a huge shortage of FPV drones, electronic warfare systems, equipment for providing fortifications, caponiers, and other things. Imagine that these UAH 5 billion would now be given to the military, that personal income tax, which is being stolen, would be transferred back to the brigades. And we would not accept the government's explanation that there is no money for this. This money is in the reserve fund," Poroshenko noted.
According to him, UAH 5 billion can completely cover the needs of units along the front line for electronic warfare systems.
"Imagine that each brigade would receive more than UAH 50 million. This means that each brigade would have 250 dome electronic warfare systems. And this means that each vehicle would have protection from enemy FPV," the politician explained.
Poroshenko also once again spoke in favor of banning the transit of Russian oil and gas through the Ukrainian territory, rejecting the assertion that this would complicate relations with the European Union.
