Macron announces completion of work on security guarantees, talks with USA expected
French President Emmanuel Macron announced the completion of work on security guarantees, talks with U.S. officials are ahead to clarify the role of the United States.
"We have completed work on security guarantees, as I mentioned, which are important for the security of Europeans, French citizens and Ukrainians," Macron said at a joint press conference with his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Paris on Monday.
According to Macron, "important talks" will be held in the coming days between U.S. officials and the Coalition of the Willing to "clarify America's participation in these guarantees, in accordance with what we decided last week."
