In November 2024, at least 165 civilians were killed and another 887 people were injured in Ukraine, including eight children killed and 57 injured, Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights Dmytro Lubinets said citing data from the UN Human Rights Monitoring Mission in Ukraine.

"A total of 12,340 civilians have been killed since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Another 27,836 have sustained various kinds of injuries. The UN monitoring mission noted that the number of casualties in November 2024 became significantly higher than in November 2023 (113 dead, 363 wounded)," he said on the Telegram channel.

The ombudsman noted that 65 citizens of Ukraine died as a result of the use of long-range weapons (missiles and ammunition) by the Russian forces. In Kherson region, civilians were killed and wounded almost every day from shelling by short-range unmanned aerial vehicles (drones).

The UN mission also noted that Russian military forces have resumed large-scale coordinated attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure.

"The world must not simply watch the casualty statistics change. The world must make sure terrorist Russia is held accountable for every life destroyed! Help Ukraine, because this is how you protect yourselves!" Lubinets said.
