SBU raids homes of NABU detective's relatives investigating energy abuse – NABU
On Monday, employees of the State Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) conducted searches at the homes of relatives of a detective of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU), who investigated high-profile cases of abuse in the energy sector and at railway enterprises, NABU has said.
"We inform you that today, SBU employees conducted searches at the homes of relatives of a detective of the National Bureau, who investigated a number of high-profile cases, in particular, regarding abuse in the energy sector ("Rotterdam+") and at railway enterprises, including on suspicion of embezzlement of funds for the purchase of transformers, as well as illegal enrichment of a general and deputy head of the department," the NABU said on Telegram on Monday.
The message notes that NABU continues to fulfill its duties in accordance with the law, ensuring the inevitability of liability for corruption crimes, regardless of the positions and influence of the individuals involved.
Interfax-Ukraine has not yet received information from the SBU regarding this statement.
